If you break a rule, they just have no tolerance.
After a video made by YouTube vlogger Brooke Amelia Peterson about a brand new iPhone X hands-on last week, Apple fired Brooke’s father, who works as an engineer at Apple, which enables her to got a working unit of the said unreleased smartphone. The said video was already taken down, because of Apple’s request.
(Peterson’s reaction video about it going viral)
On this video above, Peterson explains that the video was removed at the request of Apple and that her father — an engineer named Ken Bauer — was fired.
The said video showcased a number of features of the new iPhone, and was even taken from Apple’s cafeteria. Peterson’s father Ken Bauer, the engineer who was fired, is seen using Apple Pay on the iPhone X on the video. The video views had skyrocketed, landing on YouTube’s top trending videos list.
It was now removed without explanation, and Apple is obviously behind that removal.
“Apple let him go, at the end of the day, when you work for Apple, it doesn’t matter how good of a person you are. If you break a rule, they just have no tolerance.” – Peterson says in the video.
In this action, its clear that Apple doesn’t want any of its staff just showing off unreleased products in photos, or even unauthorized YouTube videos.
There’s no comment coming from Apple, though.
